Single: Hong Kong Plague medal re-named but impressed Pte J. Jones SLI . Although re-named I can't help but feel that this is a result of late issue in a manner some what similar to the way Maori War medals were re-named and issued in New Zealand. I base this theory on the number of Hong Kong Plague re-named medals that are known. Also why bother to re-name a medal which was not allowed to be worn. Given this rare medal normally sells for over 2000 pounds. I believe it is priced reasonably. EF+ $1850 |
