A very nicely executed HM Silver Birmingham 1911 Horses Hoof ink well. It is in the style of the 19th century Horse Hoof mounted inkwell’s which were often removed from deceased horses as proof of death and not stolen or sold off. Horseshoe pattern lid and complete with glass ink well insert. approx. 9 cm.

A Royal Regiment of Artillery Officer’s Full Dress Sabretache to the 8th Lancashire Artillery.
A fine example c.1870-1901, the pouch and back of black Moroccan, the face of blue cloth overlaid with silver train lace, in the centre the Royal Arms of Great Britain in silver thread, velvet and silks, the honour ‘Ubique’, sprays of oak and laurel, a silver metal cannon and bottom scroll ‘Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducant;’, complete with 3 D rings, together with its black Moroccan foul weather cover, There are no loose or broken wires in the embroidery.

Group of four: 1914-15 Star, British War & Victory Medals. 2334 Pte. A. H. E. West, 3-London Rgt. With Death Plaque showing all names leaving no doubt as to authenticity. Comes with original condolence slip and medal entitlement Document. A member of the 2/3rd BN London Rgt (Royal Fusiliers), he was killed on the 28th of November 1915 at age 22 and buried at the AZMAK CEMETERY, SUVLA. Inscription on his headstone reads “THEIR GLORY SHALL NOT BE BLOTTED OUT”. Comes with a large amount of research.

A scarce Victorian Military Forces Officers Blue Cloth Helmet C 1880-93 complete with “double wreath” helmet plate. Plate not original to the helmet but may have been changed from the single wreath. I have not had the maker before, being T. WHITE & CO Union St. Aldershot. Silk liner complete and still attached to buff leather liner.

Militia Artillery Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c. 1902-08, a fine quality example the blue cloth skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, the very fine frontal plate of Royal Arms pattern, a blank scroll above a double wheeled cannon and scroll below ‘Quo Fas Et Gloria Ducunt’, original buff leather sweatband and supplier’s details ‘Sullivan Williams & Aitchison, 12a, Savile Row, W’, the plate is original to the helmet. 


Slight loss of gilt to the ball finial otherwise very fine overall condition $1350

The Suffolk Regiment, Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c1883-1902, the blue cloth skull complete with all gilt metal fittings, the very fine frontal plate of crowned eight pointed star pattern with gilt laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet a three towered Gibraltar Castle and dependent Key, a silver scroll below ‘The Suffolk Regiment’, original buff leather sweatband and crimson silk lining (partly separated but all there) by ‘Hawkes & Co., London’, the plate is original to the helmet.
