A Scarce example of a New South Wales Artillery White Cloth 6 panel Pre-Federation Helmet Circa 1890. Helmet Plate original to the helmet with a recipient label which reads “Tr. Carmichael, No4 Company”. The inside of the helmet is quite dirty. All the cork sweat band spaces are intact, but the band itself shows heavy wear. The helmet cork is quite sound and not spongy. The exterior has most likely been whitened with a modern Whitner due to the lack of available Blanco and all fittings are correct white metal including leather backed chin chain.
