MC London Gazette 23.11.1916 page 11400 - M.C. was presented to Capt. Dunlop by his Royal Highness the Duke of Connaught at an investiture held at Sarona (present day Israel) on 18.3.18 and afterwards returned for safe custody.

Herbert 'Bertie' Reiach Dunlop (1893-1943), appointed to a commission as 2 Lieut, 4th Lowland Brigade, Royal Field Artillery (Territorial Force) 21Mar1912; to Lieut Mar1914; called to service 05Aug1914 and served with Royal Field Artillery, Territorial Force, 52nd Lowland Divn, Lowland Howitzers; to Capt 01Jun1916; awarded MC in 1916 for actions in Gallipoli in 1915; Acting Maj from 06Jun1918 Disch.08Jul1919 retaining rank of Capt; joined Home Guard 14May1940 until his death in 1943.
