PATTERN 1827 BRITISH NAVAL OFFICER’S SWORD - (Pipe-Backed): 29.5” well decorated blade in good condition, some light staining & light nicks; obverse side has Queen Victoria Crown over Royal Coat of Arms; reverse side Crown over fouled anchor and R.YARROW, R.M. COLLEGE 25 PICCADILLY LONDON ; shark-skin grip & brass wire; vg. cond. brass fold-down guard with fouled anchor; lion head pommel, with correct sword knot. Leather scabbard with rare ‘ round leather ’ sword belt with brass upper & lower hooks. This early pattern Naval sword is becoming exceedingly rare particularly in such fine condition.
