Single : CRIMEA MEDAL1854 no clasp period engraved BENJN CHURCH , CAPTNS STEWARD, HMS ALBION. Comes with attractive locket belonging to Church's first wife Elizabeth, containing a small portrait of him and his daughter. He served as Steward to Captain (later rear admiral) Stephen Lushington Commander of the Naval Brigade at Sebastopol. Also with six copied letters written by Lushington to Church, which make interesting reading and provide some background to life on campaign in this period. Includes a number of copies of family photos and research.
